Kapitan is operated by Pelmeni House Pte. Ltd., 32 Maxwell Road, #01-05, Singapore. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and to serve you.
- Event and catering enquiries. Your name, phone number, email address, and details about the event you are asking about — the type of event, roughly how many guests, and when. You give us these when you complete our enquiry form on this website, our enquiry form on Facebook or Instagram, or when you message or call us.
- Reservations and orders. Your name, contact details, booking details, and any dietary or allergy information you choose to tell us. Delivery orders placed through Oddle include your delivery address.
- Marketing emails. Your email address, if you have subscribed.
- Website use. Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and pages viewed, collected through cookies and analytics and advertising tools including the Meta pixel. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We do not ask for, and do not want, identity-card numbers, passport numbers or payment card details through any enquiry or booking form.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, quote for your event, and manage the booking
- To take and deliver your order, and to handle dietary and allergy requirements safely
- To keep the records a business is required to keep, including for tax and accounting
- To send you marketing about Kapitan, only if you have agreed to receive it
- To measure and improve our advertising
We will not use your information for anything materially different from the purpose you gave it for without asking you first.
Marketing, and how to stop it
We send marketing email only to people who have subscribed to hear from us. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect for all future marketing.
We do not send marketing text messages or make marketing calls to Singapore numbers unless you have clearly agreed to it, and we check the Do Not Call Registry where the law requires us to.
If you enquire about an event, we will contact you about that enquiry. That is not marketing, and it stops when your enquiry is closed.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is needed to run the business, and only as much as is needed:
- Service providers who handle data on our behalf — our booking and delivery platform (Oddle), our email tool, our website host, and our advertising platforms (Meta, Google). Where you reach us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta receives that information too and handles it under its own privacy policy.
- Suppliers for your event, where you have asked us to work with them.
- Professional advisers, and government authorities where we are required by law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not rent or trade contact lists.
Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that your data is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 24 months, then deleted
- Bookings and orders: as long as needed to run the business and to meet legal record-keeping requirements, generally five years
- Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe
- Suppression lists: indefinitely — we keep a record that you asked not to be contacted, so that we can honour it
Keeping it safe
We restrict access to personal data to the people who need it, use access-controlled business accounts, and delete what we no longer need. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- stop sending you marketing, at any time
- delete your personal data, where we are not required to keep it
Email welcome@angmohdumplings.com and we will respond as soon as we can, and in any case within the timeframes the PDPA requires. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
Photography at events and on our premises
Kapitan is a restaurant and bar, and photographs and video are sometimes taken on the premises and at private events. We do not use recognisable images of guests in paid advertising without permission. If you appear in something we have published and you would rather you did not, email us and we will remove it.
